I am a senior industrial design major student at Pratt Institute. I’m interested in tableware design and furniture design. During the four years in Pratt, I focused on woodworking, designed a kitchen island mainly made out of wood which is one of my favorite project and made a lot of wooden bowls and plates which are very popular in Pratt's market. I love Kaiseki cuisine, it gives me a lot of inspiration, so I designed a set of tableware which is praised by my professor, even shown as the sample for junior students. I also has big passion in ceramics and wheel throwing.  I went to Jingdezhen which is China's well-known "porcelain capital" to learn more about wheel throwing and glaze. I made a lot of porcelain products and sold out in Pratt's market.  I love making things with my own hand, but not just stay at the design idea. The process to make my idea becomes real product is really exciting, it can let me touch the product and see if it is comfortable or user-friendly, and I can change the design along with the process.
